Gate Maps Lite has six of the busiest US airports (Atlanta, O'Hare, JFK, Los Angeles, Miami, and San Francisco) from the full version's 38 detailed airport maps, making it easier to find your gate as you rush through a busy, unfamiliar airport on your way to try to make that connecting flight. If you need the added convenience of having your arrival and connecting gates highlighted on the maps, consider My Gate Maps. Gate Maps Lite was designed in anticipation that you'll usually refer to a terminal map while in-flight or in an area with limited connectivity, and therefore works in Airplane mode (no network connection needed), on either an iPhone or iPod Touch. Also, given many airport sites use Flash for their maps, accessing such content from your iPhone/iPod Touch is currently not possible. PDF is another popular format, but the download time negates a quick lookup when you're rushing to make that connection! Assuming you have a network connection, try the "website" button on the overview or detail map view to launch Safari and open it to that airport's dining information page. To use: Pinch & zoom gestures are also available for your convenience. Note that Gate Maps works in either portrait or landscape mode. Landscape mode hides the status bar to provide more space for the map. We hope you enjoy it. Safe and happy travels! Included coverage: |
